Mechatronics Engineering Google Site
Special Instructions:
Entry Ticket: how does a speaker work?
Please do some research and be ready to explain how a speaker works.  What is a PIZO electric speaker?  Read and Research for 7 min and then write for 7 min... 200+ words See google classroom.

Coding a Tone
  • LAB - Duration: 30 Min
  • Link:  Arduino Tone Function
  • Instructions & Expectations: Starting from the Arduino Tone Function page, write a program that will generate a tone.  DON'T just go download a program you found some place... start with the Tone page and build your own program from a NEW arduino sketch.
  • How to Submit Assignment: Show me your code, and get checked off
  • Dig Deeper: After you have got your Tone code that you wrote checked off, then you can go find more tome generation examples...
ExploraVision
  • LAB - Duration: 30+ Min
  • Link: ExploraVision Format
  • Instructions & Expectations: Get into your Teams (move and sit together).  Make sure everyone has access to your Google Doc
    • Abstract: (Spend about 15 min discussing and crafting your Abstract)  As a group talk about the problem you are trying to solve. List  the key ideas on how to solve it.  As a group discuss and create an Abstract.  An abstract of no more than 150 words that summarizes the proposed future technology and other relevant information.  Please make sure that all team members are engaged and contributing.
    • Description; Divide the project Description section in to the first 3-4 parts.  Assign a team member to one of the following sections.  These sections should eventually be 1-2 pages long.  This is not a 15 min project... I want to to do some Deep research and some good, thoughtful writing.  take your time and get help from the teacher in the room:
      • Present Technology*: An overview of the present form of the technology including scientific principles involved in its functioning. A problem definition or limitation of this present technology that you address in your ExploraVision project.
      • History: Research and description of the history of the technology from its inception.
      • Future Technology: Description of the team's vision for what this technology would be like in 20 years, including scientific principles involved in developing the technology.
      • Breakthroughs*: Research and description of breakthroughs that are necessary to make the future technology design a reality. Description of why this future technology doesn't exist today. (Choose one of your required breakthroughs and describe an investigation that would have to be planned and carried out to test your ExploraVision project. If possible, include the kind of data or measurements that would be collected in the investigation.)
  • How to Submit Assignment: Everyone will submit a Google class assignment.  Submit a COPY of your working document
Open LAB  and/or Robot Club (If there is time)
    • LAB - Duration: 0-60 Min
    • Link: Robot Club Google Sites
    • Instructions & Expectations: Connect with your Robot Club Team.  You will either be working on your Robot Project or an Open Lab Project.
      • You will need to account for your time. You will need to convince me by your form submission that you worked given the time allotted.
      • If  you or your Robot Club Team worked on the Robot Club project, you will make sure your Robot Project Status Google docs are updated.
      • If you worked on an Open Lab Project, you will also need to tell me about what you accomplished and what you are planning next.
    • How to Submit Assignment:   Each Student needs to account for your time.
